  • New mission presidents

    Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

    The first Latter-day Saints in the area that is now Colorado arrived in 1846. A company of 43 emigrants from Mississippi who were trying to meet Brigham Young's pioneer company along the Platte River discovered that he had been forced to wait at Winter Quarters.
  • New show emerges on Hawaiian stage

    After more than three years of planning and $3 million, the Polynesian Cultural Center premiered its new evening show in August: "Ha: Breath of Life."
  • New visitor center directors

    The following have been called by the First Presidency as visitors centers directors. They will serve for two years, beginning their terms on Jan. 1, 2008.
