Family history moments: The right number
A few years ago, I noticed a phone number displayed on my phone caller ID. It was from a chemical company in Alabama. I remember thinking it odd to receive a call from a chemical company but discounted it as someone having simply dialed a wrong number.Published: Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 -
New temple presidents
John Reid Giles Jr., 67, Birmingham 1st Ward, Birmingham Alabama Stake; called as president of the Birmingham Alabama Temple; succeeding President E. Allen Rich. President Giles' wife, Deann Hickman Giles, will serve as temple matron. Currently serving as a counselor in the Birmingham Alabama Temple presidency, President Giles is a former temple ordinance worker, stake president, counselor in two stake presidencies, high councilor and district president.
