Twin Falls Idaho Temple

  • President Thomas S. Monson: First year

    Feb. 3, 2008: President Thomas S. Monson — a counselor to Presidents Ezra Taft Benson, Howard W. Hunter and Gordon B. Hinckley — was set apart and ordained the 16th president of the Church during a sacred meeting in the Salt Lake Temple.

  • South valley members prepare for temples

    Residents of the south end of Utah's Salt Lake Valley are witnessing a remarkable moment in Church history — two temples being built simultaneously, one within eyesight of the other. Church leaders say faithful members will be needed to serve in the future temples.

  • New temple is dedicated in Idaho

    In the little more than six months since he became President of the Church, President Thomas S. Monson has dedicated four temples, the most recent being the Twin Falls Idaho Temple on Aug. 24. Earlier this year, he dedicated the Rexburg Idaho Temple (Feb. 10), the Curitiba Brazil Temple (June 1) and the Panama City Panama Temple (Aug. 10).
