    On a lovely spring-like morning, more than 700 Church leaders and other guests were witnesses to the March 14 groundbreaking ceremony at the future site of the Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple.

    Feb. 3, 2008: President Thomas S. Monson — a counselor to Presidents Ezra Taft Benson, Howard W. Hunter and Gordon B. Hinckley — was set apart and ordained the 16th president of the Church during a sacred meeting in the Salt Lake Temple.
