    Two weeks after presiding at the Church's 179th Semiannual General Conference, President Thomas S. Monson was back in the Conference Center speaking to Church members from 109 stakes located on the south end of the Salt Lake Valley on Sunday, Oct. 18.
  • Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple information

    "Oquirrh" — Goshute Indian word meaning "wooded mountain" or "shining mountains" (pronounced "O-ker"). This temple is the 130th operating temple worldwide and the 13th in Utah.

    Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple President Alan S. Layton arrived early at the newly dedicated edifice Aug. 25 and quickly learned he was not alone.
