    The First Presidency has called eight new Missionary Training Center presidents and their wives, who will serve with them. They will begin service about Jan. 1, 2010.

    The visit last month of two Spanish government officials to Madrid's Temple Square capped the Church's celebration of the 40th anniversary of Spain being dedicated to the preaching of the gospel.

    During 2009, the Church in Spain is awash in meaningful milestones. This week marks exactly 10 years since the Madrid Spain Temple was dedicated, and in May the Spanish Latter-day Saints will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their country's dedication for preaching of the gospel.
  • Faith of youth fortified in seminary and institute

    Though much has changed in the modern history of the Church, the need to teach gospel principles to youth has not, Elder Paul V. Johnson of the Seventy emphasized during a Seminaries and Institutes of Religion Satellite Broadcast on Tuesday morning, Aug. 5.
