In this book, the editors have compiled a collection of 15 essays that feature presentations from the 1985, 1986, and 1987 BYU Women's Conferences. The essays are organized in four major categories: Strengthening Faith; Building Relationships with Self, Others, and God; Struggling with Adversity; and Understanding Our World.

Maxwell of the Council of the Twelve and Elder Marion D. Hanks of the Presidency of the Seventy are included in the collection. Other presentations are by Marjorie P. Hinckley, A.D.
