President Thomas S. Monson, center, poses with Scout leaders from the Winder 6th Ward, Salt Lake Winder Stake, at the Great Salt Lake Council Scout-O-Rama March 28. The booth, one of more than 800 displays in the massive exposition in the Salt Palace, featured the sashes of 57 Eagle Scouts the ward has had in the past 10 years. President Monson, second counselor in the First Presidency; Elder Marion D. Hanks of the Presidency of the Seventy; Elder Jack H Goaslind of the Seventy and Young Men general president; and Pres. Ruth B. Wright, second counselor in the Primary general presidency, were among dignitaries who attended. With more than 100,000 spectators, this year's Scout-O-Rama was more successful and raised more revenue for Scouting than ever before. Approximately 15,000 boys and their leaders participated.
