Two former members of the Primary general board have died recently. They are:
- Thelma Bonham de Jong, 89, died July 4 in Provo, Utah. She served on the Primary general board from 1953-1967. A teacher for 45 years, the last 13 at BYU, Sister de Jong served in the Salt Lake and Provo temples. She received a bachelor's degree from the Southern Idaho College of Education and a master's degree from BYU.- Katherine Snow Bennion, 90, died June 24 in Salt Lake City. She served on the Primary general board from 1936 to 1942. She was president of the Civic Center, the Salt Lake Council of Women and the State Legislative Council. She was also a member of the Symphony Guild and the University of Utah Theater Guild. Sister Bennion graduated from the University of Utah in 1926 and taught elementary school and seminary.
