For behold, the Lord doth grant unto all nations, of their own nation and tongue, to teach his word, yea, in wisdom, all that he seeth fit that they should have; therefore we see that the Lord doth counsel in wisdom, according to that which is just and true. - Alma 29:8.
As a missionary on the crowded, busy streets of a city in South Korea, I realized each face flashing by represented an invaluable soul, a priceless child of God. I suddenly felt the weight of my incredible responsibility to teach all of these people His word. There were four missionaries assigned to a city of more than 400,000 people. How could we possibly reach them all? So many of them were lost in a world of confusion, without the peace of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
With a silent prayer I pleaded to the Lord to help them, and to give me the strength and ability I needed to be a light of truth to these people. As I pondered my responsibility with a prayer in my heart, I was suddenly overcome by the peace and comfort of the Spirit. I realized that, though my best efforts could never influence more than a few people, I was not alone in this work. Jesus Christ had not only paid the price for all of God's children, but also He had an infinitely perfect plan for each of them.
Thinking of the words of this scripture, I knew that each of them would ultimately be given a complete opportunity to learn the gospel. Though the task would be hopeless without Him, with Him I felt an assured confidence of success. - Allen D. Martin, Orem, Utah.
