New mission presidents

Four new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. The new mission presidents and their assignments are:

  • H. David Boucher, 60, Kenya Nairobi Mission; Eastern Avenue Ward, Sacramento California East Stake; missionary in the Zimbabwe Harare Mission; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, stake clerk, bishop and counselor, Young Men president, Sunday School teacher, and missionary in the South Africa Mission; retired school administrator; received bachelor's degree in secondary education from BYU; born in Calgary, Alberta, to Harold Dunbar and Janet Leah Hamilton Boucher; married Natalie Hunt, five children. She is a missionary in the Zimbabwe Harare Mission; former regional genealogy specialist, assistant stake Young Women camp director, member of stake Primary board, stake and ward organist, music chairman, Young Women president, and Relief Society teacher; received bachelor's degree in music education and English from the University of Utah; born in Las Vegas, Nev., to Austin George and Mildred Tobler Hunt.- Jose O. Fabricio, 46, Brazil Ribeirao Preto Mission; Jardim Modelo Ward, Sao Paulo Brazil Vila Sabrina Stake; stake president; former stake president's counselor, stake executive secretary, bishop, and elders quorum president; businessman; born in Sertaozinho, Brazil, to Armando and Elzie Caneiro Fabricio; married Maria Zanin, three children. She is Relief Society secretary; former Young Women president and Primary president's counselor; born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Gildo and Nair da Silva Zanin.
  • Henry C. Goodnow Jr., 48, El Salvador San Salvador West Mission; San Bernardino 1st Ward, Highland California Stake; high councilor; former bishop and counselor, clerk, elders quorum president, Young Men president, and seminary teacher; business owner; received bachelor's degree in law enforcement from BYU; born in Sebring, Fla., to Henry Clinton and Janie Elizabeth Whitesides Goodnow; married ReNee Tuckett, seven children. She is an area adviser for Lambda Delta Sigma; former stake Young Women president's counselor, stake Relief Society president's counselor and homemaking leader, Relief Society president, Primary president's counselor, Young Women adviser, and seminary teacher; received bachelor's degree in elementary education from BYU; born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Ray and Ruth Haynes Tuckett.
  • B. Renato Maldonado E., 36, Ecuador Guayaquil North Mission; San Carlos Ward, Quito Ecuador Inaquito Stake; South America North Area director of public affairs; former stake president's counselor, stake Sunday School president, bishop and counselor; Church Educational System director for Ecuador; attended the University of Cuenca; born in Cuenca, Ecuador, to Medardo Angel Maldonado L. and Esther Clotilde Enderica B. de Maldonado; married Lorena Ruiz T., two children. She is Relief Society president's counselor; former Primary president; attended Loja Technical University; born in Loja, Ecuador, to Francisco Timoleon Ruiz S. and Gloria Angelica Tapia A. de Ruiz.
