Couples needed to teach in Chinese universities

The David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies at BYU is seeking applications from qualified couples and individuals to teach at universities in the People's Republic of China. The center is entering its ninth year of placing teachers in China. During the past eight years more than 300 people have taught in the country as part of this program.

Successful applicants must meet the following qualifications:- Active members of the Church in good standing.

  • 65 years old or younger.
  • Excellent health.
  • Secure financial situation.
  • Advanced degrees preferred; bachelor's degrees required.
  • Teaching experience helpful.

Because of housing limitations and the difficult living conditions sometimes encountered, couples with children should not apply. Chinese language skills are not required for placement.
