Humanitarian service missionaries taught to use 'wisdom and order'

FRANKFURT, Germany — Humanitarian service missionary couples working in the Europe East Area gathered recently to strengthen and edify one another, exchange ideas and receive training.

The 15 couples — serving in Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Republic of Georgia and Armenia — attended the humanitarian missionary conference in Frankfurt. There they learned how to more effectively combat poverty, hunger and illness.

Elder Wayne M. Hancock of the Seventy and first counselor in the Europe East Area presidency, spoke to the senior missionary couples. He asked them to use "wisdom and order" in providing humanitarian aid, encouraging self-reliance, offering prompt responses to emergencies, finding creative solutions and providing service in the Lord's way.

The missionaries also attended a session in the Frankfurt Germany Temple and participated in a faith-promoting testimony meeting.
