Pres. Young's ancestors' graves found

OXFORD, Mass. — More than 40 members of the Oxford Ward, Springfield Massachusetts Stake worked on a service project recently to document and repair tombstones in a local cemetery. During the service project, ward members located the graves of Richard Moore and Mary Collins, Brigham Young's great-great-great-grandparents who died in the 1760s.

On Memorial Day May 29, they decorated the graves with flowers, wanting to pay tribute to the Church's second president and his progenitors.

DeLene Holbrook, public affairs coordinator for the Oxford Ward, said Church members plan to continue their work at the cemetery. "Everyone who has worked on the project has felt a very special spirit," she said.
