MOSCOW, Russia Church humanitarian service missionaries worked with other Church members here May 11-12 to help more than 100 local parents of children with Down syndrome learn more about the condition.
Nad and Markay Brown, and Harold and Marilyn Horrocks invited many parents to the Marriott Grand Hotel in Moscow, where they watched videos and received instruction on how to bring out the talents and possibilities of Down syndrome children.
Also attending the two-day conference were Brenda Winegar of Provo, Utah, and Karen Hahne of Orem, Utah, who shared the experiences they have had while raising children with this disability.
Many full-time missionaries gave service during the conference, watching children so their parents could concentrate on instruction.
