Children learn about temples

DURHAM, N.C. — More than 100 Primary children from the Durham North Carolina Stake, accompanied by their parents and Primary teachers, gathered at the Raleigh North Carolina Temple recently.

Divided into small groups, the children rotated through several stations set up on the temple grounds, where they learned lessons about several temple-related topics. For example, by the temple cornerstone, Dorothy Tucker of the Burlington Ward showed the children a picture of President Gordon B. Hinckley placing mortar during the temple dedication cornerstone ceremony last year. She then related how the Savior can be the cornerstone of their lives.

Other workshops included discussions about the Angel Moroni, baptisms for the dead, temple ordinances and the need for temple recommends. The children also read and discussed the words outside the temple entrance "Holiness to the Lord."
