New mission presidents

Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives are:

Edwin Clyde Biddulph, 63, Ammon 12th Ward, Idaho Falls Ammon Stake; stake president; former counselor in stake presidency, bishop, high councilor, stake Young Men president, elders quorum president and Cubmaster. Farmer, retired orthopedic surgeon. Born in Madison, Wis., to Clyde and Gwen Brugger Biddulph. Married Jeanne Merkley, four children.

A Primary pianist and ward organist, she is a former Relief Society president, counselor in Relief Society presidency, Young women president and Primary president. Born in Logan, Utah, to Joseph Clyde and Mozelle Winn Merkley.

John Devn Cornish, 51, Brockett Ward, Atlanta Georgia Stake; Area Authority Seventy; former stake president, bishop, high priests group leader and missionary. Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, Emory University. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Oliver and Naomi Black Cornish. Married Elaine Simmons, six children.

A nursery leader, she is a former Relief Society president, Young Women president, ward and stake Primary president. Born in Bozeman, Mont., to Elbert Rulon and Vivian Olsen Simmons.

Sales manager, Goodrich Floor Coverings. Born in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, to Cornelis and Anna Drost Dorenbosch. Married Judith Rahel Cieslak, five children.

A counselor in stake Young Women presidency, she is a former counselor in the ward Young Women presidency, Relief Society president, Primary president, Relief Society teacher. Bank teller. Born in Bremen, Germany, to Hyrum Japheth and Ruth Magdalena Boden Cieslak.

General manager of IVAX Corp. Born in Minas, Lavalleja, Uruguay, to Juan Maria and Paulina Elsa Inzaurralde de Gavarret. Married Norma Beatriz Gorgoroso, three children.

A Relief Society teacher, she is a former Sunday School teacher, Relief Society enrichment leader, Relief Society president and Primary president. Born in Minas, Lavalleja, Uruguay, to Nemesio Berto and Elsa Julia Martirena de Gorgoroso.

A ward activities committee chairman, she is a former counselor in the stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society president, counselor in Young Women presidency, Primary president and Young Women president. Born in Preston, Idaho, to Henry Bert and Lucille Palmer Ashcroft.

A Sunday School teacher, she is a former teacher improvement coordinator, Relief Society compassionate service leader, Relief Society president and teacher, and missionary. Junior high school library aide. Born in Hollywood, Calif., to J J and Pauline Beutler Hardin.
