Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. The new leaders and their wives are:
Lamar Blaine Bartholomew, 63, Fayette Ward, Gunnison Utah Stake; former area area welfare agent, temple ordinance worker, stake Young Men president, counselor in mission presidency, stake president and branch president. Former special education teacher and chief administrative officer of Stanislaus County, Calif. Born in Gunnison, Utah, to Junius Blaine and Lillian Izola Sorenson Bartholomew. Married Carolyn Louise Cain, nine children.
A former missionary in the Europe East Area, she is a former temple ordinance worker, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, family history center director, counselor in stake Relief Society presidency. Born in Culver City, Calif., to Maslen Cooper and Olena Louise Evenson Cain.
Patrick Raymond Casaday, 54, Crescent 26th Ward, Sandy Utah Crescent Ridge Stake; stake president, former counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and stake mission president.
