FORT MYERS, Fla. Some 120 Relief Society sisters of the Fort Myers Florida Stake recently donated items for troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gathering Sept. 23, they came from Florida's Venice to Immokalee to Naples with 500 pounds of gifts they had collected, including candy, batteries, and toiletries, along with some disposable cameras and puzzle books. Children's toys were also collected for the soldiers to distribute to children in war-stricken areas.
The donations were shipped via a military relics store owner in Naples who ships items to troops at his own cost or through donations.
