July 26 — U.S. and Canada Immigration Series at the Family History Library. Classes on border crossings, colonial, U.S. naturalization before 1906, U.S. naturalization after 1906, immigration records. July 30 — Garden Talks in the Park, perennials, learn about colorful late summer to fall bloomers with instruction from Barney Barnett, 8 p.m., Brigham Young Historic Park, located at the corner of State Street and Second Avenue; free admission.

Aug. 1 — On the Air, big band vocal music of the 1940s era, Brigham Young Historic Park, located at the corner of State Street and Second Avenue; free admission, 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 2 — Families Making Music, convert feature the Bastian family on the piano, 7:30 p.m., Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

Ongoing — Museum of Church History and Art, 45 North West Temple Street, open weekdays 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and weekends 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., free admission.

Ongoing — North and South Visitors Centers at Temple Square, exhibits focusing on the life of Jesus Christ, ancient and modern prophets, and the construction of the Salt Lake Temple, free admission, open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
