DEC. 29-31 — New Year's EVE celebration on Temple Square. All EVE performances on Temple Square are free and open to all ages. Tickets or passes are not required. Other downtown EVE events require a $15 pass (children under 10 are free). EVE events include storytelling, exhibits, crafts, sing-a-longs, concerts and fireworks. Through JAN. 2 — "Savior of the World," a musical drama based on the birth and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, will continue in the Conference Center Theater. For show times and ticket information, please visit lds.org/events or call 801-570-0080.
DAILY — The organ staff and guest organists perform 30-minute recitals at noon Monday through Saturday. Sunday recitals will be performed at 2 p.m. Through Dec. 31, the recitals will be held in the Conference Center. On Jan. 1 the recital will be held in the Assembly Hall. Starting January 2, the recitals will be held in the Tabernacle.
SUNDAYS — "Music and the Spoken Word," featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will be broadcast at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Center. Please be seated by 9:15 a.m.
DAILY — "Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration," a film about the life and legacy of Joseph Smith, is available Mondays through Saturdays at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in the Legacy Theater and in the North Visitors Center on Sundays. The film runs every 90 minutes starting at 9 a.m., with the last showing beginning at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 801-240-1245.
