New mission presidents

Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

Alan Roy Maynes, 59, and Laurie Afton Christensen Maynes, seven children, Colorado Denver South Mission; Gordon Creek Ward, Helper Utah Stake. Brother Maynes serves as a stake president and is a former counselor in stake presidencies, bishop and missionary in the Ireland Mission. Retired area director, Seminaries and Institutes of Religion. Born in Murray, Utah, to Roy Godfrey and Carol Rhoda Daw Maynes.

Sister Maynes is a former counselor in ward Relief Society presidencies, ward Primary teacher, chorister and pianist and stake family history consultant. Born in Roosevelt, Utah, to Dean Christian and Luella Afton Nielson Christensen.

'Aisake K. Tukuafu, 54, and Lose Kinikini Tukuafu, seven children, Tonga Nuku'alofa Mission; Ha'ateiho 1st Ward, Nuku'alofa Tonga South Stake. Brother Tukuafu serves as a counselor in the Tonga Nuku'alofa Mission presidency and is a former stake president and counselor, stake Young Men president, high councilor, stake Sunday School president and missionary in the Tonga Mission. Owner/managing director, Oregon Pacific Int. Born in Fua'amotu, Tongatapu, Tonga, to Viliami Kauvaka and Losaline Lapu'aho Tukuafu.

Sister Tukuafu serves as a temple ordinance worker and is a former counselor in stake and ward Relief Society presidencies, counselor in a ward Primary presidency and missionary in the Tonga Nuku'alofa Mission. Born in Kolofo'ou, Tonga, to Sione Vaiokema and Taina 'Ofa Hoko Kinikini.

Stephen Don Clark, 65, and Cynthia Sue Jones Clark, nine children, Missouri St. Louis Mission; Oak Hills 2nd Ward, Provo Utah Oak Hills Stake. Brother Clark serves as a counselor in the stake Sunday School presidency and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, ward Young Men president, ward mission leader and missionary in the Norwegian Mission. Director, Small Business Development Center, Business Resource Center, Utah Valley University. Born in Provo, Utah, to Don Schow and Marion Bee Larsen Clark.

Sister Clark serves as a ward Young Women adviser and is a former ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president and ward Primary president. Born in Prescott, Ariz., to Layton Byron and Aurora Maloy Jones.

Joseph Monroe Sagers, 56, and Sherre Jean Stoddard Sagers, seven children, Texas Fort Worth Mission; Star 1st Ward, Burley Idaho West Stake. Brother Sagers serves as stake president and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, high councilor, ward Young Men president and missionary in the South Carolina Columbia Mission. Institute director, Church Educational System. Born in Jerome, Idaho, to Harold Monroe and Carol Nielson Sagers.

Sister Sagers serves as a Cub Scout leader and is a former ward Young Women president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, ward Primary president and gospel doctrine teacher. Born in Brewster Wash., to Vernal B. and Reah Geneva Goulding Stoddard.

William Ellis Jardine, 60, and Kathleen Giles Jardine, seven children, California San Bernardino Mission; Salem 3rd Ward, Salem Utah West Stake. Brother Jardine serves as a ward clerk and is a former bishop and counselor, temple ordinance worker, high councilor and missionary in the Uruguayan Mission. Retired accountant for the state of Utah. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ellis and Reba Griffiths Jardine.

Chris Wyatt Campbell, 50, and Yvonne Murray Campbell, four children, Canada Edmonton Mission; North Ogden 8th Ward, North Ogden Utah East Stake. Brother Campbell serves as a high councilor and is a former bishop and counselor, ward Young Men president, Aaronic Priesthood adviser, elders quorum president and missionary in the Canada Calgary Mission. Mernard Pagulayan Donato, 46, and Gemma Addatu Puyat Donato, five children, Philippines Butuan Mission; Tuguegarao 2nd Ward, Tuguegarao Philippines Stake. Brother Donato is a former stake president and counselor, bishop, counselor in the Philippines Ilagan Mission and missionary in the Philippines Davao Mission.
