Fire destroys Washington meetinghouse

Arson destroyed an LDS meetinghouse in Mukilteo, Wash., early Saturday morning, Oct. 13. Officials believe the two-alarm fire started on the exterior of the building, located at 11001 Harbour Pointe Blvd. The building was showing heavy smoke when the first firefighting unit arrived at 3:05 a.m. A second alarm brought 44 additional firefighters to the blaze. It took 17 hours to fully extinguish the fire at the building, which serves as a meeting house for two wards in the Lynnwood Washington Stake.
