Nauvoo Pageant 2011 audition

Professional-quality actors are being sought to fill 20 core cast roles in the summer 2011 Nauvoo Pageant. Ten men's roles, nine women's roles and one role for a young man are available. Adult ages are from 20s through 60s.

The rigorous nature of this outdoor summer pageant requires that core cast members be experienced, faithful LDS performers demonstrating a high degree of maturity, flexibility and willingness to work long hours. Once cast, candidates must also receive their bishops' recommendations.

Rehearsals for core cast members will be every Sunday evening in May and the first two Sundays in June (for those who live in the Utah area). Daily rehearsals begin June 11-18 in Salt Lake City, and then continue in Nauvoo until the end of the pageant. The pageant opens July 5 and closes July 30. Core cast members will receive a modest honorarium and the pageant will provide support for travel to and from Nauvoo, as well as accommodations while in Nauvoo.

Auditions will be held in North Salt Lake, Utah, on Jan.15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Jan. 20, 6 to 10 p.m. Auditions will also be held in Provo, Utah on Jan. 18-19 from 6 to 10 p.m. Callbacks are scheduled Jan. 21 and 22 in North Salt Lake, Utah.
