Swensen covered police and crime, ethnic affairs and city government for the Deseret News. A proud graduate of the University of Utah and lifelong Ute fan, Swensen has filed Church News and Deseret News stories from several Latin American countries, Europe and the South Pacific. He enjoys chronicling the growth of the LDS Church in Mexico, Central and South America.
