New mission presidents called to serve in Brazil, London, Vietnam, New York City and other areas

The following six new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Johannes Ayres Castellano, 50, and Marcia de Macedo Castellano, four children, Londrina 1st Ward, Londrina Brazil Stake: Brazil Belo Horizonte Mission, succeeding President Bruno M.A. Fernandes and Sister Lúcia Fernandes. Brother Castellano serves as a high councilor and is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop and missionary in the Brazil Porto Alegre Mission. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, to João Afonso de Souza Castellano and Juveny Ayres Castellano.

Sister Castellano serves as a stake Relief Society presidency counselor and is a former institute and seminary teacher, stake and ward Young Women presidency counselor, and missionary in the Brazil Rio de Janeiro Mission. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, to Evilásio Fernandes de Macedo and Marlene Francez.

David Wayne Checketts, 62, and Deborah Lynn Leishman Checketts, six children, New Canaan Ward, Yorktown New York Stake: England London Mission, succeeding President Mark W. Stevens and Sister Jean A. Stevens, and President Ronald K. Gubler and Sister Mary Sue Gubler. Brother Checketts serves as a Sunday School teacher and temple sealer and is a former stake president, high councilor, bishop, stake and ward Young Men president, and missionary in the California Arcadia Mission. Born in Salt Lake City to Clyde A Checketts and Edith Jones Checketts.

Sister Checketts serves as a temple ordinance worker and addiction recovery facilitator and is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women president, ward Primary presidency counselor, seminary teacher and nursery leader. Born in Salt Lake City to Lowell Leishman and Constance Faith Geurts Leishman.

Ross Allan Chiles, 53, and Carrie Appleton Chiles, six children, Taipei Ward, Taipei Taiwan North Stake: Vietnam Hanoi Mission, succeeding President Lewis Hassell and Sister Mary Bliss Hassell. Brother Chiles is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, seminary teacher, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Gordon Wilbur Chiles and Edith Elaine Armstrong Chiles.

Sister Chiles serves as a Gospel Doctrine teacher and is a former ward Primary and Relief Society president, ward Young Women presidency counselor, ward music chair and seminary teacher. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, to John James (Jack) Appleton and LaVern Fenske Appleton.

Mingotyi Francois Mukubu, 44, and Nkulu Mireille Mukubu, five children, Kisanga 2nd Ward, Kisanga Democratic Republic of the Congo Stake: Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission, succeeding President Herve Baehrel and Sister Ginette Baehrel. Brother Mukubu serves as a Sunday School teacher and is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission. Born in Malemba-Nkulu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Tshikala Mingotyi Felix Kapongo and Ngoyi Mwenge.

Sister Mukubu serves as a Sunday School teacher and is a former ward Primary and Young Women president, and ward Relief Society secretary. Born in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Mwambu Kalungwe and Wa Maninga Nkulu.

Mark Alan Richey, 60, and Kristin Hulda Linebarger Richey, six children, Prospect Park Ward, Redlands California Stake: Perú Lima South Mission, succeeding President G. Boyd McGinn and Sister Ninon McGinn. Brother Richey is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, bishopric counselor, high councilor, seminary teacher and missionary in the Perú Lima North Mission. Born in Los Angeles, California, to Joseph Lewis Richey and Sharon Maureen Schade Richey.

Sister Richey is a former stake Primary presidency counselor, ward Young Women and Relief Society president, seminary teacher, ward music chair and stake organist. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Robert Neal Linebarger and Joyce Hulda Johansen Linebarger.

Craig Michael Teuscher, 51, and Gayle Groberg Teuscher, four children, Alameda Ward, San Leandro California Stake: New York New York City Mission, succeeding President David L. and Sister Rebecca C. Smith and President Gary and Sister Barbara Reynolds. Brother Teuscher serves as a Sunday School teacher and is a former stake president, bishop, stake and ward Young Men president, high councilor and missionary in the Canada Montreal Mission. Born in Walnut Creek, California, to Lynn Henry Teuscher and Jeanne Cheryl White Teuscher.

Sister Teuscher is a former ward Young Women president, ward Young Women, Primary and Relief Society presidency counselor, and missionary in the Spain Seville and Las Palmas Missions. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John Holbrook Groberg and Jean Sabin Groberg.
